What is a good website to search for jobs that require a bilingual person (English/Spanish)?
My first language is English but through school and study abroad, I speak, read, and write Spanish fluently. Where can I find an employment website that specializes in jobs that require bilingual (English/Spanish) employees? I'm especially interested in education and social service jobs, and the jobs could be located either in the U.S. or in a Spanish speaking country in Latin America or in Spain. I also have an M.A. in Spanish literature and pretty good computer skills: MS office, HTML, dreamweaver, photoshop, etc., but I don't really want a job in computer programming since I'm more of a 'people person'
look for ethnic market research jobs. They need people that can speak spanish, good luck: http://www.quirks.com/jobs/search.aspx

This guy at my husband's work where I work too called social services during our divorce?
This guy who is a friend of my husband works at the place where I work now. My husband left for a job abroad. After he left, he divorced me in Canada without me knowing. During the divorce, this guy at his work called social services on me and the kids. It was horrible as we had been to dinner with him and his wife and the kids had all played together many times. He just did it out of malice and spite and to prove how good a friend he was to my ex.
He's still going around saying bad things about me - and about how I look after the kids - to our friends.
The kids are fine; social services found no problems at all. I'm not worried about that at all, the kids are doing so well that we're not at all in danger from this. It's horrible though that he did it, such a low down thing.
What should I do about it? I want him to apologise really, it's hard to see this man around the workplace and I want him to stop saying this kind of stuff.
My husband has gone far away and doesn't want custody or visitation at all so it wasn't an attempt to get child custody. Pure malice.
Any ideas how to handle this situation?
Talk to the person and just say "hey, we work together, let's keep this civil. Let's leave out the personal lives and remain professional." If that doesn't work take it up with the supervisor. What this person is doing is harrassment and there are rules, regulations and laws against things like this.
ESL teaching jobs available in the US?
I have a B.A. in Spanish and a 120 hr. TEFL certification with six hours of supervised teaching practice. I would like to teach abroad, but I have student loans. Does anyone know of private schools looking for Spanish teachers or ESL teachers? I do not have any kind of state teaching license. I am in Arkansas, but am willing to relocate nationwide if offered a job. Thank you. P.S. I ahve already looked on eslcafe.com and esljobs.com, but am now trying to focus my search on jobs within the United States, be those in social services, private high schools, etc.
Contact local hospitals and businesses with a large number of employees. They may be willing to negotiate something with you. You may also want to offer spanish classes to these types of establishments as well. Try hospitals first. :)
